Ruger Alaskan in 454

Anyone have a Ruger Alaskan in 454 Casull.  I am thinking of trading my 454 Raging Bull for one and was wondering what recoil is like.  My partner thinks I will not be able to handle the recoil.

i don't have the short bbl . mine is 7.5 SRH . i have no problem with it . now to the point each inch of bbl you loose you lose some recoil also. so depending on your RB you might not have much change . Look up the weight of each gun and compare . of course grip effects recoil but they can be altered or changed .

the Alaskan - 44 oz in 454
RB in ss 41 mag ( smaller hole more weight) no 454 was listed at this time . 57oz . you might weigh yours on a postal scale or other scale.
