44 russian..................................

Is 44 russian brass availible ?  Does it use standard large pistol primers and the same .429-.430 bullets ?  Any down side to shooting it out of a special or magnum gun?

Yep , Starline still makes the brass for that round and I don't see a problem shooting it other than you will need to clean the chambers good before you try shooting any Spl or Mag ammo .

Just like the 32 S&W / 32 S&W long / 32 H&R Mag combo's in the 32 H&R chambered guns or 45 LC's in a 454 Casull .

Thanks stimpylu32 . This might be a fun little cartridge. Sounds like I would need a seater/crimper die
 the cartridge being too short probally for my special/mag dies.  I might look into this.

mostly  just to be  different  and to identify  my squib  loads
