Newbie with a question

I have a H&R .22 Hornet barrel, I was wondering if I could have it re chambered to .222 Rem?  If it wouldn't work were can I find a stub barrel to have chambered in that caliber?

I am pretty sure that is a doable rechamber just see about any gunsmith who dose rechambers.

You can most definitely chamber that barrel to 222 Remington. You will just have to do a search to find a 'smith willing and able to do it. You can do a stub as well, again you have to find some one able to do it. PM me if you decide to do a stub. The cheapest way to go is to chamber to 222. The advantage to a stub is you can get a better quality barrel.

Thanks. now the trouble of finding a gunsmith around here that is able to do it. I know of two gunsmiths local one doesn't do any re-chambering and the other is so stuck up he doesn't give anyone the time of day.
