Encore turkey shotgun recoil?
« on: April 14, 2009, 06:03:55 AM »
Hello, thinking about getting a encore shotgun set up in 20ga for turkey hunting. I was wondering what the recoil will be like compared to say my 870? I only have the encore pistol at the moment.

Have been using a 12ga and with turkey loads it pushes some but quite managable. Have shot a 20 ga slug gun, very doable.

I actually have a 12 gauge Encore Turkey barrel forsale.  I bought it and only shot less than a box of shells through it, and just do not have time to use it, I have a semi-auto that I usually pickup.  My barrel has the walnut wood forend with it, and sights, if you are interested send me a PM.  Good luck they are fun, and do not kick that bad, like a typical 12 gauge, i suppose if you have a synthetic stock and forend it might be a little harder, but with the wood on wood like I said it is not bad.
