Sabot question:
« on: April 11, 2009, 02:50:39 PM »
I have some extra 50 caliber Super-Glide sabots that will hold a .451 bullet.  I also have some .451 roundballs gathering dust.  Has anyone out there in cyber-space ever tried shooting a roundball out of a sabot in a fast twist barrel? I could trim the sabot down a little so I could push the whole thing down the barrel ok.  WHat if I tried a slow twist barrel?  Hmmmm.  Let me know.  Thanks!

Sounds like you have some good wrist rocket ammo there!

For those wondering what a wrist rocket is:

this one was the cadillac of slingshots in my day!

I thought about trying that myself!!! They do made a type of sabot for round balls, but I don't see why a regular sabot wouldn't work!! When I try it I will let you know how the results turn out. Unless you beat me to it!!!!
