A little note on Obama/Georgetown
« on: April 18, 2009, 07:04:30 AM »
I worked in the White House Communications Agency (WHCA) from 88-94.  I went TDY for Presidential visits 53 times during that period.  Not to applaude the WH or Obama's staff or anything like that.  I saw MANY times that the White House Staff would cover a background or install the requisite blue drapes across the back of a stage or platform.  The operative words for WHCA troops (a joint service agency) is "Presidential Quality".  This applies to lighting, sound, radios, comms and everything else.  I don't find too much strange with what went on at Georgetown.  Don't necessarily like it but it was mostly a "business" decision not based on anti-Christian leanings.  Happens everywhere...
