So, what's the word on this? Does Remington see this poll and consider whether it's worth putting into production or is this more of a "gee I wish" thing? Either way, the dialog is good but I have always thought the H&R/NEF SSs were suited to the old, low pressure stuff - not because I thought the actions would not take the high-pressure rounds so much as that the rifles are nostalgic and would be a good platform for nostalgic rounds like the .35 Remington, 32-20, 25-20, etc. I am waiting for my own SB2 - not aggressively searching but watching for one to turn up used through private sale or trade and I would be delighted with a 30-30, .22 Hornet, .357 or .44 mag., but would be tickled pink with a .35 Remington. After carrying a 20 gauge O/U for 35 years, I finally got the shotgun I have always wanted - a 20 gauge H&R. It's a Pardner (what in the world model with a "dubloon" in the stock but it works) so it will stay a shotgun. Need to find now the rifle I have always wanted....
Yeah, I know - the 30-03 morphed into the 30-06 the same year the .35 Rem. was born but I still view the '06 as "modern" and the .35' as "nostalgic." Just the way I choose to view it I guess.
