at least not in my gun anyway. I tried some Hodgden hybrid100v with unacceptable results. never got better than a 2.5" group with any charge wt. I think I will try Reloder 22 next or maybe some IMR4831. Any suggestions?

You may want to try some Reloder 17 , its listed for the 100g to 150g bullets in the 270 WSM and seems to be the powder of choice for the stubby rounds like the WSM and the WSSM .

I would love to try some Reloder 17, and eventually I will, but it's not easy to find right now. I do have some Reloder 22, I may try that next.

Just to complete the 'handgun powder' topic - BlueDot may actually work great if accuracy is the concern. The
correct loads
with this powder have given outstanding accuracy results in cartridges from the .223 through the .338 Magnum. But these are not pressure-tested loads and are not for the novice reloader since pressures can change rapidly as the charge increase.
Don't try this one at home
