45 colt load

Dumb question of the day.

Can  I load my Rossi lever to the Ruger/T/C data in the books?

I assume the other data was for colt ssa and older such guns .  Mild to shoot ,but 6 grains of green dot was very mild and shot to the left??? :(

Maybe it's me,maybe not.I went to 7.8 grains and am hoping for better results.

Powder is older (85+/-)and am  using up to replace.  ::)

Anyone got any ideas here? 200 grain lead bullit also.

Let me get this straight....you're using $100 worth of bullets (900 of them) just to "burning up" $20 worth of powder?  And it's a powder that may not shoot straight and is not what you really want anyway?  Heck, flush the powder and get the right stuff.

The 92 actions (rossi/puma) is a strong action and will handle the TC/ruger loads fine. Green dot will be fine for reduced loads but go ahead and get a powder for some stout loads like h-110. Also get some quality bullets that are gas checked or even a good jacketed bullet that will handle the higher pressures with ease. 45 levers are fun and can be loaded from mild to wild(as long as its a strong action).  Dave

I am not as dumb as I appear. The bullets are cast so they were only pennies to make.
Besides, where can you buy bullets these days anyhoo. ???
I have 2- 5 gallon bucket fulls of 45 bullets to use first.

Who said you appeared dumb?  I didn't mean to imply that you were less intelligent than anyone else, I just asked for clarification.

BTW I have many thousands of bullets in a dozen calibers that I've been hoarding for years "just in case", and I have 50 lbs of wheelweights for casting when I have the time.   A few local shops have enough bullets to buy if I ever need more.....
