A bumby Question
« on: April 30, 2009, 06:47:12 AM »
Just What is a pallet wood stock??

To me pallet wood is cheap pine or at best red oak!
Neither one in my experience is worth a darn as a stock wood!

It is what they call (here) the standard wood stock that comes on the Handi. It is most likely Birch. There is nothing wrong with them they just don't have a lot of figure in the grain.

I was thinkin they were maple. Pallet wood means just your plain old run of the mill boards which are loaded into the machine and cut into a stock shape, no grading or special wood grains, some of it may even be glued up boards.
