Ser # 15744 is there any over the counter ammo available? Can I shoot smokless??? Thanks, Ed

After having the gun checked to be sure it is saft to shoot then the factory ammo offered now should be ok as it is not loaded hot.
The reason is because there are still many vintage rifles out there in this caliber that would not stand up to hot loads.
Your gun will most likely like a cast bullet better that a jacketed one but either should be safe to use.

I am sure others with more knowledge of this caliber will also answer this question better than I can.
