I can hit a tennis ball every round(the ball hanging on a target, not on the ground) at 100 yds with factory Winchester power points, that's from the bench with a Lyman tang sight and a millet post front sight with a white stripe...my gun is so old it isn't drilled and tapped for a reciever mounted peep sight(which I actually prefer over the tang sight)....do you know if you can drill and tap this gun for a williams or lyman reciever sight by just opening the action(dropping the breech block) or is further disassembly required. I'm thinking about shooting cast in this gun...170 gr bullet at around 1800fps or so,to take it easy on the old gun and the old man behind the trigger but good enough to get the meat should the opportunity arise....not sure if i need a gas check bullet or not,was gonna try h4895 to get there...do you shoot cast bullets in your 32 spec?
