Browning BLR

Has anyone removed the sights on their BLR? Or, any rifle? I have heard of "plug" screws that you can screw back in but was wondering if it looks bad or leaves a lot of space and collects dirt. Thanks for any replies!

BRL...I use filler screws all the time, especially on rifles with low power scopes which show the front sight.  On most rifles the screws that you take out to mount the scope are usable as filler screw out on the barrel when you remove the sights.  I have the sights off a 7600, 7, and a 94 Timber Carbine and filled with the screws from the top of the receiver.  I like the look too.   DL

DLuke, thanks for your input. I am going to remove the sights on my 7400 autoloader and my BLR.

I appreciate your help.
