Proud to be an AMERICAN
« on: May 12, 2009, 02:56:59 AM »
A recent study conducted by Harvard University found that the
average American walks about 900 miles a year.   Another study  by the American Medical Association found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.  This means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud to be an American.  :D ;D

Sounds logical to me!

Very very seldom ever drink alcohol but I think I could keep the whole US MILITARY awake with the amount of coffee I have consumed in my life so far!

I am guilty of being a "guzzler". Very poor mileage.  :(

But I thought it was OK because Budweiser is a "bio-fuel" made from renewable resources and does not increase our dependence on foreign oil.  Plus, I walk to the tavern.

OPEC can shove it - that's my motto.   :D

Shootall - I never thought of that.   :-[

In trying to answer your question, I found  www.beeripedia.com.  Apparently there are foreign hops being used.   :o

But since they don't come from OPEC countries, I am going to continue doing what I am doing.  (Shhhhh.... please don't tell any liberals on me.   ;D)

I would imagine this is a case of median instead of mode.  I doubt seriously that the people on the high end of the drinking spectrum contribute much to the walking spectrum and vice versa.

The heaviest drinkers I know don't do much walking at all.
