They are too heavy, too much drop in the stock, & they don't say Winchester on the barrel.  ;) other than those problems there ok.  ;)

I mean do you want to shoot a want-a-be or the real thing?

If you look around for about the same money you can buy a nice pre64 Winchester.  :o

I havn't had a chance to shoot one, but I did examine one
pretty close a couple of weeks ago. It is a very nice rifle.
It is heavy, but that should help with recoil. Unfortunately,
it ejects the empty out the side rather than in your face and
you can mount a scope over the bore too. I like it a lot.

The newer version of the blued 30-30 is lighter than the brass frames version (7 lbs.) and comes with nice ghost ring sights. The brass frame Henry 30-30 to me is the most beautiful 30-30 currently being made but a bit on the heavy side and more expensive.

It is much nicer finished weapon than any Marlin, Mossberg or standard US made Winchester 94 (post 64) I have owned.

The Henry rifles are tube fed much like a giant 22. I find this easier to load and unload when shooting a lot of rounds at the range than the loading gates some people claim are better. My thumb disagrees with them especially on my Winchester 94.

Hard to go wrong with any US made 30-30 except some of the New Marlins that are a bit rough QC wise IMHO. You choose what is best for you.

I prefer the marlin but a 30-30 is never a mistake.
