Encore 22LR pistol question

Hi guys,

I just bought an encore 15" 22LR pistol barrel for my encore (TC item # 1786), and a plain jane T/C weaver style scope mount.  When I got home and tried to install the base it doesn't fit.  The breech is almost an octagon shape...

Any ideas on what weaver stlye scope base to put on this??

I think the TC part numbers are 9864 for blue and 9862 for silver, but heaven forbid you should try and find them on their web site.  Perhaps if you phoned someone would know of their existence.

I got bases and rings from Conetrol.  They are expensive, but IMO about the best out there.
