I just traded for one, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.
Nice gun, well made. But... I'm a bit disappointed that it is not smaller than it is. To me it's the same size as an LDA or most other single-stack 3" 1911s. I realize there is something like 1/4" sectioned out of the grip through the slide, but in my hand it doesn't make much diff.
I'd like to see someone make a 1911 that is completely downsized -shrunk in every dimension - around the 9mm cartridge. The slide does not have to be almost 1" wide, nor as tall as it is. It should wind up similar in size to a Star SS. The Spaniards did this sort of thing very well for the .380 cartridge.
