Suzuki QuadRunner Battery
« on: April 14, 2010, 05:46:15 AM »
My battery is shot and a replacement from the local dealer is $165. The auto stores and Walmart have 'similar' size and capacity batteries for about $45. If I can find one with the right terminals would it be OK to use a cheapie? My current battery is a BTH16-12 no one seems to make an exact aftermarket match for it.  Thanks.

Do a google seach for BTH16-12 battery. I found several places under $75.

I just put one of them walmart cheapos in my Yamaha 350 Bruin.  It leaks acid all over the place.  I hate it only for that.  It does have the juice, it's just the thing constantly leaks acid all down the battery box and onto the frame.  There is a rust spot on the frame from it now.

I use only Interstate Batteries now for all my vehicles, ATV's, mowers, tiller, trucks and tractors.
I've used many brands of batteries over the years and finally settled on the Interstate to be the best overall.

Pick a battery of comparable quality.  You do not need to stick with the Suzuki battery.  Juice is juice as long as its the right volume of juice.
