TC's 1-4X scope?

I'm new to Contenders and was interested in the 1-4X TC scope with lit reticle. I'm assuming they are no longer made but I have seen some around $125. I would be hunting Javelina and Mule deer with a 223 or 357 mag barrel.

Any opinions on this scope would be appreciated.

A 4X power scope would be sufficient for shots up to 100 yards anyway.

T/C scopes have a lifetime warranty.  Between a 460 S&W Magnum and a 500 S&W Magnum, I broke 2 of them and they were replaced with no hassel.  For guns with less recoil than I used it for, it would probably hold up just fine.  In fact, I have T/C scopes on a 223 AI barrel and a 357 Herrett barrel and have had no problems with them.
