Yesterday, my wife and I were out running errands. I went to Dick's Sporting Goods, and she went to the pet shop next door.

Behind the hunting counter, Dick's had three Handi Rifles. All three had camo synthetic stocks and scopes. Best of all, each was marked $100 off, making the price $299. One was a .308, one a .22-250, and I forget what the third was chambered for. I purchased the .308 for deer hunting.

The scope is a 4-12x40. It has no obvious brand name markings, but it appears to be of decent quality. It has more power than I need for a woods rifle, so I will likely swap it for a Bushnell Legend 2-7 I have on hand.

The salesman told me that they have had the Handis in stock for 3 or 4 weeks and that the $100 off is a promotion they are doing because these are a new item.

Forgive my old age lack of memory, but I can't remember where you are in Maine.

I love Maine, and it's a big reason I live here on Da U.P. They're very similar. Same woods, lakes and streams, same critters. I do miss salt water though.

Cant help but wonder if Remmie has decided to start putting the synthetic cammies on the full size rifles like they did that short run of super lite youths , That would a be a nice change ... I too want to see some pics of this new 308 of yours Mainer ... And congrats on the new toy.

Yes its true guys. Dicks in at least in Eastern Pa & Nj have the Camo stock rifles in stock w/4x12x40 scope for 299.99 + tax & call
fee. The three I saw were in 308 - 22-250 & (for petemi's mystery cal) 223 all bull bbls. 308 sure looked tempting, if Mr Obama would
send me stimulis ck with my next social security check I would be a good american & give it a good home. Fredster

I will work on posting a pic sometime this week (lots going on). Hopefully, I can get the rifle to the range over Memorial Day weekend and post a range report.

I didn't know they were making a rifle in a camo stock. I'd like to see a picture too!

They're special orders for Dicks, see the Handi Rebate sticky. Camo stocks have been available for quite a while, they come on shotguns and have been available thru H&R as a retail product, synthetic monte carlos were available at one time too.

How did I not know that .... I want one , OK maybe just the furniture .... I searched up Dick's and they didnt list arms in inventory .. So that didnt help me in ordering up through my ffl from them or paying them and having the weapon shipped to my local ffl ... * sigh* Ohhh well guess i'll just have to search a little harder ...

OK, I have seen "rebate" mentioned here a few times. Does that mean if Mainer keeps his sales reciept and gets a rebate form he could be elicible for a rebate also???....<><....

I don't think the rebate applies to these. I just tried to get one in 223 and got a DELAY! Guess Biden don't like drive bys with handis.

I think all you get is $100.00 off. I think you get 10.00 more off and 10.00 more for something else if you get a Dick's card and 0% interest if paid in 3 months. Have to check more as the DELAY DELAYED my transaction. Just waiting on the call
