1st deer of season down!!
« on: October 02, 2009, 04:13:44 AM »
Hey guys got my first kill of the year yesterday in Ms.  Was shooting a bear instinct 70# Gold tip xt hunters, with nap shockwaves.  I was skeptical of these broadheads at first, but when I checked their blades they were razor sharp alot sharper that the blades on my grim reapers.  Well a little before dark yesterday this doe walked buy. She weighed about 90-95 lbs perfect eating size.  I think she caught me moving a little bit and got nervous, but she went behind some brush so I could draw my bow.  At the shot she was 22 yards broadside to me.  The arrow went through the shoulder and semi exited the opposite armpit, unfortunatly she broke my arrow off in the brush but she only made it about 80 yards.  The blood trail was great with blood on low branches and trees and all over the ground sorry I don't have any pictures you guys.  Any doubts I hade in these shockwave broadheads are out the window now they perform just like a spitfire I guess, the blades feel as if they are just as sharp anyways.  Good luck this year you guys.  Cleveland..
