Jacketed Bullets Prior to BPCR?
« on: May 20, 2009, 09:43:35 AM »
Is there an issue with me shooting jacketed bullets prior to moving over to BPCR?

I have some older smokeless jacketed loads and am still waiting on product to begin loading BPCR. I want to shoot my new rifle, but do not want to cause myself an issue.

Somewhere I read that shooting jacketed in a rifle you plan to shoot lead in can cause a problem.

Is this a concern?

Not if you do it correctly before switching to lead.  All the copper coating in the bore has to be removed.
