My 357 Handi
« on: June 04, 2009, 05:01:28 AM »
My newest 357, it started life as a Survivor.
Barrel cut to 17 1/2 inches per FAQ,  29 5/8  OAL  w/stock collapsed
ATI stock  ::),I know but I can fire it fully collapsed
Simmons 2 1/2 X20 shot gun scope
Replaced the slotted screw supplied with the stock, with a 3/8 X28   1 1/4 cap screw
weighs 7 pounds 11 oz with 11 rounds up.
Went to the range yesterday and it will out shoot me. It really likes 187 gr  fngc @ 1900 fps.   ;D.  Doug
I will probally commit a grave sin and paint it later . ::)

Doug, that's a sweet lookin honey.  All my straight walls shoot better than I.  I begin to catch up on some of the necked cartridges.  Are you sure that's not some kind of full automatic assault weapon......it looks very dangerous......I think we should outlaw it, it's got a pistol grip and a semi-auto, full auto slow and fast switch.  HOW'D THEY DO THAT WITH A SINGLE SHOT?????  Enjoy it, buddy ;)

Paint it, and I'll have to get someone over there to smack ya!!

Not having had one before, I cannot compare. This one, after I changed the stock bolt out, is acceptable.A friend has a  Remington 7615, that I put a ATI stock on, over a year ago and it is still going strong.
I really wanted this style stock for the pistol grip.It allows my right hand to absorb a bunch of the recoil. With my shoulder I need all of the help I can get.     Doug

gendoc, that is the forend that came with the stock. One really good thing that after applying the forend hanger trick(thanks Larry see FAQ)  the barrel is free floated except for the stud. I   went back and looked the part number for the ATI stock   HRN4100     HTH  Doug

No wonder why you parted with the Survivor stock (thanks again!), before you even had it in your posession. That turned out really nice!
