Do you wear glasses while you shoot and wish you didn't?
« on: May 02, 2009, 06:18:34 AM »
Fellow Archers and Bowhunters I got to tell you that Aaron turned me onto I think the best answer to solving this problem.  I wear bifocal reading glasses, and well my fiber sights were fuzzy.  So I asked Aaron what I could do about this problem I was having, needing better fiber pin clearity.

This is the type of sight picture I was seeing:

Now after Aaron installed the Verifier for me, this is pretty much my sight picture now, it is like WOW in differance... I can see, I can see.

More information on the Specialty Archery Verifier

The bottom line is, now see what you've been missing.

You owe it to yourself to see Aaron at Spirit Quest Archery if you live in the Kalispell area or see your local Pro Shop for one of these if your sights are fuzzy.

I used to, but Lasik (sp??) surgery took care of glasses.  I have always used either a long bow, self bow, or a recurve for hunting, so sight pins were not an issue for me.  However, rain specs or fog on my 'windshield' for years was a royal pain in the neck...and other anatomical locations.   :D  For the past five or six years, hunting without glasses has been absolutely wonderful!

Looks like a great improvement for you.

Hi
For quite a while my vision was getting worse. cataracts. I was using a 32 power scope to shoot bench rest air rifle outdoor. Then I had lens implants and now I can see just like I was a 20 year old. I'm 76 years old.
The operation is a piece of cake. They do one eye and one month later the other eye. There is actually no discomfort.  Now I can use either bow or pistol without any  vision problems.

Your situation is entirely differant from most, you were almost blind and needed the implants.  I have great vision for anything far away, but for something up close like a menu, or sight pins.... its all a blur.  With the Verifier lense I'm now hitting 1" dots at 30 yards.  ;D
