Koler Engine Points
« on: May 28, 2009, 11:18:43 AM »
I have an older 8hp Koler engine that lost fire.Replaced the coil still no fire, took old points and condenser out to get the right ones problem is I did not check the gap on the old ones.any body know what to set them at and how. It's been probaly 20 years since I fooled with points. The motor is maybe a late 70's model on a Gravely tractor. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
THANKS

try using a match book cover . Sounds crazy but on some of those ols engines it will be close . With no fire you may need a coil .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
