Bummed out
« on: May 12, 2009, 05:24:21 AM »
So my Dad decided that he needed a new bike to ride while he was hanging out with his ALR friends. So him and my mom went to Worth HD in Kansas City and bought a brand new '09 Super Glide Custom. It is a very good looking bike. The problem is that Dad offered to sell me his '03 Sportster 883 with 7500 miles on it for $3000. :o That was last friday, and he said I needed to let him know by today. Well I work third shift and at 7am this morning my boss came around and layed off all but 2 of us, and us 2, along with everybody left on day shift is getting cut back to 32 hours a week >:(. I normally get 42.5 hrs +. So I had to call him and tell him that I couldn't buy it from him. He really sounded disappointted, he really wanted me to get it so we could go riding together. This sucks. :(

Sometimes, you just gotta find a way to get things that momentarily seem out of reach.

Fathers day is coming up- you should tell him he would be the worlds best dad if he could come up with an ez-pay plan with you ;) ;)

Today I decided that I was going to buy the bike anyways. I had to work a couple of things out and convince the wife, but I got all the loan papers taken care of and bought it. The only problem now is when I called him to let him know my sister answered the phone and told me that he went fishing. So now I will have to call back later. No big deal

Be the longest fishing trip in the world for you but glad you got it.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.
