Opinions on Para GI Expert
« on: May 31, 2009, 01:33:26 PM »
Subject pretty much says it.  I believe they sell for around 500.  All I want is a GI base model.  This one has a few extras over the others that I have looked at but is still what I am looking for.  Do not know much about Para either.  Thanks for the help.

I just found this.  Doesn't sound good at all.  The Plastic trigger if it has one is a huge turn off for me.

Seen a few positive reviews and Para is known for making good guns.  Even if it has a plastic trigger, the design of the 1911 is such that the shoe doesn't bear any stress and it isn't like it will break.  If it bothers you that much a custom trigger is $30 and 25 min of your time max.  The trigger is pretty much a drop in deal, it's all the other parts of the lockwork that require gunsmith fitting.
