Minnesota Area 25( 60 to 160 miles N. of Duluth) Update: I know of no bears being tagged during these last 6 days. ( some may have been shot that I'm not awear of). A few have been seen over bait, but for one reason or another weren't taken. Activity has really dropped off during the afternoons. The baits are still being hit at night, and some in the mornings. There has been several windy and rainy days, and one night of T-storms. 8)

FINAL REPORT:  This past week has been really poor bear hunting. For the last 2 days we've had some snow, which has mostly melted. It was 29 degrees this morning. While the season lasts another 2 weeks, it probably won't be a productive time at all. The 1st 3 weeks of the season was really fantastic this year, though: best in many, many years. 8)
