Two new leverguns followed me home
« on: April 25, 2009, 04:55:11 PM »
lots of horsetradeing and finigiling and I wound up with a BLR 81 jap in 358 Winchester  and a Marlin Original Golden 39A, pre safety, perfect shape, both guns.  Gunshow in our local small town, and an auction that sold around fifty guns at 1:00 pm this afternoon..  what a perfect way to waste a Saturday.   I had a table at the gunshow, and traded off an H&R M1 Garand,  ($295 rack grade greek return cmp rifle) for a NEW IN BOX Colt Commander steel frame series 80.. almost afraid to desecrate this pistol with live ammo..   Les

Hi Les,

Sounds like you had a good day!  Let us know how the .358 shoots.  I have several BLR's.  I have a 7mm-08 that I fell in love with but I can't get it to shoot.  Have a nice .358.  Ditto.  Bought a like new .308 but it's still sitting in my vault...a virgin...to me.  I don't like any of the BLR triggers but they still should shoot better than the results I have been getting.  I would be interested in hearing from you in how it shoots.

Thanks,

BT53
