Looks can be deceiving, especially when they're not side-by-side.

The small peep in the OP of this thread IS a Skinner Lo-Pro, especially made for me by Dr Tim with a 6-48 stem ILO his normal Marlin-sized thread - and I'm thinking of removing the lock ring to lower the line-of-sight.

The small peep, in my previous thread, is an XS stem - which I installed then removed, because it has a much thicker stem which eliminated much of the material of the bolt safety.replacement plug, when it was drilled & tapped out for the XS.
Since I was able to get the Skinner with a thinner stem, I ordered it.

Here are the two peep stems, XS on the left, Skinner Lo-Pro on the right (minus it's locking ring, next to it):
