405 & 450 grain with a sabot ?

Have any of you tried to use the heavy .458 dia bullets with a sabot , I cast both for my 45/70 and am wondering if they would work in a 50 cal Huntsman providing that I can find a sabot that has long enough petals to work on the longer bullets .

Any ideas ?

Stimp My .458  rem 300 grain remingtons work in the harvester crush rib sabot. & I believe MMP makes a sabot for .458 bullets. As far as length goes, not sure
