Hi all
« on: September 10, 2003, 07:43:14 PM »
:D Afternoon gents,  I'm very glad to be here in the last frontier.  Thanks again Matt for all your help.  I have been a bit busy with work.  I went down to the little Susi and did a little fishing from the bank no luck but it was nice getting out.  Saw a few signs mostly cow moose and calfs.  Still don't have my truck so I can't get out to much.  Just trying to get all my gear ready.  Saw the thread on Hip waders,  Lacrosse are great.  Has anyone tried the new Cabela's Bog Buster hip boots - it solves the "to tight to pull off" ankle fit.  Wonder how the velcro will work when wet, muddy, and after a season or two?  Oh by the way I think Calculas was easier than the Alaskan Hunting & Fishing Regulations :-D  :)   Old Moss
Best regards, be safe, and keep your powder dry!
Thanks Old Moss

I looked at those Cabela's boots - I'm concerened those straps and buckles would tangle in brush etc.  But I'm lookng around - Just got an email from Big Ray's that they don't carry Lacrosse ankle fit boots.  They haven't got back to me about what they DO carry.

If you think Alaskan Hunting regs are tricky what do you think of the fishing regulations?  Its one problem with having such a big state, diverse demands of the citizenry, and variable habitat.

Welocme to AK!.  Good luck on your hunts.

Sorry for my rudeness there Old Moss.  Been a bit busy lately.  Welcome to Alaska.  Maybe some day Matt and you can stop over for some fishing.

I had to pull the boat before heading east.  So I am gounded right now.

Just might have to shoot a land animal of some kind.
