TAXING YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE! HO! HO! BUT NOT THE UNIONS MEDICAL!

  It seems that with the new move in Congress to inject more cash into their runaway spending spree, that they intend to TAX YOUR MEDICAL BENEFITS. 
 i.e. Your medical cannot be taken out of your gross pay BEFORE the rest of the taxes. Your gross pay MUST BE TAXED BEFORE MEDICAL BENEFITS ARE TAKEN OUT. Now that's a lot of money. In my case, more than $700.00 per month, and I and my wife are in our 60's.

HOWEVER! Those wonderful unions that gave us the car, and so many other things that a non-union member would never have been able to accomplish, along with other unions have RAISED HELL, and so Congress is working on a deal, that WILL TAX "NON-UNION" WORKERS MEDICAL INSURANCE BENEFITS, BUT "WILL NOT TAX UNION WORKERS" MEDICAL INSURANCE BENEFITS.

I for one am fed up with D.C. and UNIONS! The unions OWN D.C., and we are supporting both the unions and D.C.'s FAILURES!

Actually what it looks like to me magooch, is that the unions are running far more in Washington than anyone ever dreamed. They get billions in bailouts with the unions giving almost no concessions, the unions get a percentage of the car companies, and now, they get preferential treatment over EVERYONE ELSE IN THE UNITED STATES, when it comes to medical care payment.

It is time for a change in business as usual in D.C. . A very drastic change. The two parties have abandoned us all. The two parties need to be abandoned. One way, or the other.

It comes as no surprise that union health care plans will not be taxed.  After all, it it the Democrats turn to run things in DC for a term or two and they are in the pockets of the unions and their members.   BTW:  The first guy I ever heard to say he wanted to tax employer provided health care plans was that lesser of two evils; none other than Juan McAmnesty.

Try to get a grip NS. What I'm saying is the tax code may be changing back to the way it once was for a long time which is taxing your income without 'your' medical contribution deduction. Yes, your short time memory may be lacking, but mine isn't. It was McCain et al that proposed taxing all the employer's medical benefits as regular income. Yeah, since you brought up Bush he was the worst president ever elected, drove the economy under, most corrupt, shredded the Constitution, and dishonest and has more to answer for then all the past presidents put together. Maybe you remember it was on Bush's watch that 911 happened, (nobody got fired for that one)...he should be exiled to someplace like Paraquay or Texas, or all of them prosecuted.

Oh, I have a grip. And being critical of McCain is very acceptable to me, I think he is a sorry person & Bush as well. You did not read what I said, I didn't say that McCain didn't propose it, but we see what admin. is going to make these things happen.
What I find as humorus is how you feel that you need to tell all the good folk out there whenever any issue comes up this present admin. is not responsible for anything, but it's that last bunch, or at least they were thinking it "would'a shoulda, coulda stuff"   . OK, maybe the subject matter was clear to everyone but you, I accept that possibility.  "beloved GOP", not even a supporter of that party , actually a Constitution Party member, as I have mentioned sev. times recently. My solid non-support of Bush & McCain is all over this forum, no need for the false accusations just because you are upset.
I never said you supported Obama lock, stock & barrel, but did say it appears you voted for him. And I also said you have a right to do that, of course a free country, just like I am free to make a mere observation.

In no way do I defend any of what the Kenyan and his administration are doing, but I still say that a lot of trial balloons are floating around and the reporting on them is very spotty.  There might be a hint of truth in what is being reported, but the details are not in the headlines.

I think there's a long way to go before any serious health care plan actually gets rolled out.  I think even some Dumbycrats have second thoughts about rushing anything through.  And in any case, there just might not be enough money left to do anything about health care anyway.

In my union, I don't pay for my health insurance. The company pays for family coverage. So if they taxed my insurance, they would actually be taxing my employer and not me.

Now what do you think that kind of raise in taxes would do to companies?

I personally don't think they should tax anyones health insurance, so don't flame me on that.

There should be no company tax only personal tax. All company taxes are passed on to the consumer any way .
