Prettiest wood on a 30-30 336 I've ever seen on a stock factory Marlin.
Don't know where the seller bought it but he was having huge trouble getting 300 bucks out of it.
I grabbed it.
Not mark one on this as new rifle.
Came with 4 boxes of ammo, all full, never been fitted with scope or peeps, never been loaded.
The case that came with it was one of those airline rated loackable deals that cost him over 100 buks.
He was supposed to take a hunting trip with a furtur father in law but it fell through.
Obviously the seller was no "gun person" at all. He paid over 5 for the rifle then 100 for the hard case and took my 300 bucks.
It's STILL unfired and unloaded.
Might stay that way.
Might put it up for sale as it's got the lovliest factory walnut I've ever seen on a modern Marlin.
Thoughts, comments welcome.
Oh, this was at a gun show and several dealers offered the poor guy a buck and a quarter for it.
I don't know how he kept his cool. I might have laid someone out for an offer like that.
