2 1/2" or Paper Shotshells
« on: September 18, 2003, 02:55:26 AM »
I have an old drilling with 2 1/2" chambers in 16 gauge.  I did find one source (fairly expensive) for 2 1/2" shells, but I understand that longer length paper shells will work fine.   Federal currently makes 12 gauge paper shells , but not 16 gauge. Anyone know of a source, other than collectibles, for paper 16 gauge shells.

Thanks,
Mike

See http://www.ballisticproducts.com/.  They have 16 ga hulls, including some 67mm 16 ga Fiocchi hulls.  You can cut them to 2.5".  Plastic hulls can be cut just like paper hulls.

No one makes paper 16 gauge hulls any more.  BP does sell the Fiocchi 2.5 inch hulls.  You can also get loaded 2.5"  ammo from BP (Fiocchi).
