Spring squirrels anyone?
« on: May 20, 2009, 08:09:03 AM »
I went out this morning, got a shot at one and hit him, but he got away.
Didn't see too many. They seemed to be on edge this morning.  Could not get close to them or didn't see them.

Goin out again next week.

I use a Henry Lever Action .22 LR.

Anybody else?

I have seen a bunch of the tree rats here on the farm.  I also can't remember the last time I have seen so many rabbits.  I doubt I'll have any time to get out there any time soon but would like to.

Well Boys,

Havent got out there for the tree rats yet , but have the missus lined up with a new ruger 10/22 and a new marlin 22 mag bolt gun for myself , so maybe a little squirrel busting is in order ..

Side note , We were out looking at a property for possible buying just a little north east of London Arkansas ... and while leaving the property had a red fox dart onto the road , then 10 minutes later a momma doe and yearling sitting their watching us stop to watch them ... Love when a prospected home stead shows you some of its fruits before you buy ;)

Good luck and Safe hunting guys,

My hunting bud and I went Sat morn where we saw several during turkey season.  Only saw two squirrels and we didn't get either one.  Guess we need a squirrel dog.
