Just got in from Elk hunting just across the border into Utah from where I live in SW Wyoming. Saw a few elk, all running and all were being chased by wolves. I do a lot of coyote hunting and have been calling in more wolves lately than coyotes. Don't beleive the animal rights nuts that say the wolves will never leave yellowstone. Won't be long before they are everywhere again. We are 300 miles away from yellowstone and they are getting pretty thick here. The game and fish department has reduced elk tag numbers because of the predation by wolves. The stats showed 94% of the elk calf crop was killed by wolves last year in yellowstone and we have them here now. You guys in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico have a plague headed your way. I have always followed game laws to the letter but it sure is getting hard not to shoot wolves when they come in to my call. Real hard.
