284 Winchester brass, necked up to 30 caliber.
150 - 180 gr bullets.  174 gr work the best - these are FMJ pulls from military rounds, US, M2 ball.
Have yet to find a powder that does not work in of the three K31's that I own.

As you can see from this thread, I purchased Redding dies after trying a set of another brand.  The Redding dies, so far, are the only dies on the market sized to the K31 chamber.  2 die set was almost $60.

Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Redding 3 die set is 100 - has the neck sizer with FL and Seating die.

2 die set is $60 - but, you have to search the online companies to find them.

Not to knock Redding but that is why I buy Lee as I can buy 3 sets of dies for that kind of money (90 bucks) and have ten bucks over for lunch.  ;D  I know Redding has a good rep but most who use Lee dies are very happy with them. Same with Lee Molds for cast bullets they work fine and I can buy them for a twenty dollar bill with the handles included where Lyman molds cost 50 to 60 bucks for just the blocks and the handles are an other 30 some bucks. I buy what I can afford and the Redding stuff is out of my budget as is the lyman stuff unless I can find it used ect.

Do you have to have the last word?

ONLY the REDDING DIES are the correct tool for the K31 chamber...at this time.

I don't care HOW MUCH YOU DO OR DON'T SPEND, you are buying the WRONG TOOL!

I see you do admit that that Redding tool does not work well for resizing the 284 brass and that the Lee does a better job for that.

Huh? Please look at the 250 2-8-4 cases that were necked up with the Redding dies.  The other 250 were necked up with Hornady sizing die.

Actually, the Hornady sizer die actually works better, has a tapered button.

The Lee dies and 284 brass work in my old 1911 S-R. She is a grand old lady. Am not sure of pinpoint accuracy as I shoot iron sights with trifocal glasses.
