remington sps varmint. I had one in .308 and I ended up returning it. I didnt think it was a very nice gun at all. I was unhappy with the fit and finish of the synthetic stock. seemed like all the edges on mine was very sharp and the trigger guard and the screws they used on it were also junk. Just my opinion, some people might like them but I wasnt a fan.

Savage also offers one in .308 and I have never held one but people who like them say they are extremely accurate for the price and they are fairly cheap to work on yourself if you want to do any mods.

I have a Savage 12FLV in .308 Winchester.  26" heavy barrel, synthetic stock, but mine is pre Accu-Trigger.  The shape of the trigger leaves something to be desired for bench shooting.  Never messed with one of the Accu-Trigger Savages, so I can't speak for them.

Not sure if they do a heavy barrel 7-08, though.

You might look at tikka also. They offer their tikka T3 stainless varmint (heavy 24 inch barrel I think) in left hand and its available in 18 different calibers including the 2 you are wanting.  I have not messed with a tikka so far but shortly (hopefully) I should have a left hand light stainless in 270 WSM.  When I get it and shoot it I will post a review :)

Also, if you could get one of the older left hand varmint guns from remington with the hs precision stocks they are quite nice.  I have not shot a 308 but I do own one in 22-250 and it is my most accurate rifle.  Mine has the black stock but they made them in the end with a sand (tan) color stock that had a wider forend and palm swells.  Hope this helps
