who here finds that the shoulder stock on the SKS is too short. i mean that the trigger is too close and makes it uncomfortable too shoot. is there anyway to fix this

get an aftermarket stock they are supposed to be longer.

i put a tapco adjustable stock on my sks and i really like it. but you will have to use tapco magazines.

You can spend the money for a different stock or you can spend less for a 1" or 2" screw on butt pad. I had one for a SKS but took it off and put it on my Kalashnikov. I think King's Gun Works sold those pads. HTH.

My Chinese SKS had a rubber butt pad added at some time before I bought it. It's an ugly orange thing but I don't want to take it off or I'll have the same problem you have. Length of pull seems about right as it is now.
