The best tip I can give is to grill corn this way:
1) Shuck the corn
2) Cook the meat until it's about 10 minutes from being done.
3) Put the corn on the grill and let it cook until some of the kernels are ligthly browned, turning it for uniform cooking and color.
4) Just before taking the corn off the grill, brush it with melted butter and sprinkle it with salt.

Yum!

I am a lost soul looking for a good potato salad recipe. I have tried many recipes and they just don't have the "it" factor I'm looking for. I just keep botching it.

Can you recommend a favorite to me?

I like to leave the husks on the corn.  I soak it in water for around 1/2 and hour and grill it until the husks are charred slightly.  Aside from allowing the corn to perfectly steam and not burn, the husk makes a convenient handle for easy eating.
I plan on smoking a turkey overnight using applewood with jerk seasoning.  Should be tasty.
Tomorrow evening I'll probably do a couple of pizzas on the grill, but I'm not sure what I'll put on them.

+1 on soaking and leaving the husks on.   Only downside is the husk/silk can get pretty hot when shucking....but boy do it taste mighteeeee gooood.
