« on: July 04, 2009, 01:39:14 PM »
Can anyone tell me where I can find a reasonably priced front sight for my CVA Hunterbolt Magnum rifle? Thanks, Worm.

There is a TC front sight on ebay starting bid of 9.95 that looks like it would be close to fitting you might have to do some filing on the dove tail to make it work. another suggestion would be to buy one of triditions muzzleloader scope kits and use a scope. They come with 3 different base sets plus rings and 3x9x40 scope for 49.00 at academy sports I use them on my CVA and works good. The problem with the CVA is you can pick them up new at Gun shows with starter kit for 100.00 so kind of hard to turn around and install a 59.00 glow sight. I have bought 3 of then and used them as trading stock but they also shoot great. just a thought on another way to go.

I've already got a 2.5X20 scope on the rifle, but wanted to have the front sight on "just in case". Is the TC front site with the ramp as well? When I bought the rifle there was only half a ramp on the rifle with no fiber optic bead left. I removed the broken ramp and put the screw up for safe keeping until I could find a replacement. I found a sight at tru-glo's web site, but its 49.99 and thats more than half of what I paid for the rifle. You're right, they are great shooters and I would like to see what it can do with open sights. Thanks, Worm.

Deaconllb, could you possibly look into history on your computer and maybe get a website? Thanks, Worm.

Busta saw one one ebay and I was able to pick one up for under 9.00. Thanks again Busta. Don't get any better than that unless it comes free. Worm
