Case seperation...american eagle
« on: August 20, 2009, 02:50:17 PM »
Was out plinking with model 60 today..ammo was american eagle...i got a faceful of noise and smoke and noticed that the case head had seperated on firing. Has anyone else had this problem? Most of the brass case is.still.in the gun and possibly the bullet as well. Have not pounded them out yet but will shortly. thanks.

I've never had an issue with any of Federal's ammo myself.

You may want to check out that model 60 carefully as well.  If it fired before the shell was completely in the chamber you could get that as well.
