Topper 12 ga Muzzle Loader
« on: August 28, 2009, 06:05:53 PM »
Ok guys, I've searched thru as many topics and filtered etc. I can't find the topic anywhere. Not saying it isn't here but....

I may have screwed the pooch, but I just "won" a 12 ga ML off of gunbroker. My intent is to fit it to my BC and have the combo for black powder shooting. The description above is what I have, from the pics, it appears to be a #11 cap breech. Does anyone know anything about this barrel? Have I let my excitement get the best of me on this one?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Barrel arrived. Appears unfired, just handling marks. Not marked as such, but appears to be older style huntsman with push in breech plug.

Fits perfectly on Buffalo Classic! So score!

Will it fire a cap?

Cobbled together a first load this evening. 70 gr 2F, and 70 gr #8 (what I had on hand). Worked perfectly, just need to work on the shot column re: patterns.
