5.45x39 Russian reload data and components?
« on: July 06, 2009, 04:10:20 PM »
Does anyone know of any reload data and where components can be found?
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

Bullets will be the hard part, I have data somewhere in my files, but you'll either have to have the bullets custom made or re-size .224 bullets down to .220.

Hornady is allegedly in the process of introducing a line of components, but this has just came out in the past couple weeks

THanks Krochus. I was thinking the .222 diamiter Jett bullets would be the closest that could be found.

No, the bullets for the .22 Jet that Hornady makes are VERY thin jacketed and would just blow up when they exited the bore. The centrifugal force is way too much on that little bullet. You'll need standard jacketed bullets made for the .223W velocities. I've not heard about Hornady coming out with bullets for the 5.45 but that does not mean much, if so that is great news and hopefully they will make brass too!

If this is a "right now" need, shoot me an e-mail info@reedsammmo.com and I'll see what I can do to make you some bullets sized correctly.
