Wow.  19 year old Levi, who is looking for an acting career and a book deal has come forward with this because Alaskans want to know why Sarah resigned, so says his lawyer. ::)  What a thoughtful, loyal, and caring fellow.  ::)  I'm sure the media and David Letterman will help him in his quest.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The former fiance of Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter says he thinks he knows why the Alaska governor is resigning — concerns over money.

Levi Johnston, 19, whose wedding to Bristol Palin was called off earlier this year, says he believes the governor is resigning over personal finances.

Johnston says he lived with the Palin family from early December to the second week in January. He claims he heard the governor several times say how nice it would be to take advantage of the lucrative deals that were being offered, including a reality show and a book.

"I think the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars," said Johnston, who has had a strained relationship with the family but now says things have improved.

Palin has a book deal, but compensation details haven't been disclosed. The governor has said she is facing more than $500,000 in legal fees.

"It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills," Palin family spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

Johnston made his comments at a news conference Thursday at the office of his attorney, Rex Butler.

Johnston came forward, Butler said, because Alaskans want to know why Palin has decided to resign. She made the announcement last Friday.

Johnston also is pursuing his own book deal. He is working as a carpenter while also pursuing a movie deal.

Unfortunately, I have met him.  My wife calls him Trailer Trash, but I don't want to degrade people that live in moble homes that way.  Let's just say he is not the type of person I want to be around.  Plus he plays dirty hockey.  Regularly got kicked off the ice for unsportsmanship playing.

His mother is a crackhead, and he is just looking to make as much money off the Palin connection as he can.  Todd should have squashed him like a bug when he first found out about him.

  I'll agree with you Sourdough, I had a lot of respect for Todd until I found out what he didn't do when his daughter got pregnant.

Look at what transpired.  Sarah was in Juneau with the two youngest girls, Willow and Piper.  Todd was working on the slope something like two weeks on and a week off.  Track was in Boot Camp.  Bristol was 17 and old enough to stay at home since she did not want to leave her friends and go to Juneau.

Levi had finished his junior year and would be a senior the coming school year.  Levi was a hockey player on the Wasilla team.  He knew Bristol from seeing her around the hockey rink as Track had been on the same hockey team.  The boys had played together for three years.  Levi saw an opportunity and took advantage of the situation. 

Levi admitted to Tyra Banks he did not use protection.
