I have had both.  I prefer the SRH, I think it balances better and I like the way the scope mounts better if you are going to scope it.  It is also much easier to change the trigger spring in the SRH if you want a lighter trigger.  The Redhawk uses a common hammer spring and trigger spring which creates a compromise where the SRH has seperate hammer and trigger springs.

Only thing I do not like about the SRH is its looks.  But because of the other reasons stated, I still own a SRH and the RH is gone.

The Super Redhawk is more comfortable to shoot then the Redhawk, and despite the SRH's bulky look, it is actually lighter then the Redhawk.

I have been astounded at the accuracy of my 480, with a scope it'll print 1" 50 yd groups, with irons the best I can shoot is 2" at 50 yds, though perhaps swapping the front blade for a solid black one would help.

I like the 7 1/2" barrel, the gun has a good balance, and packs well.

you are right srh is lighter. i would have never believed it . i have had a 7.5 inch redhawk and traded it. just goes to show you gotta hold em. i think i am going to give srh a try. i think it may give S&W run for the money. i know gp100 will. isnt srh supposed to have same lockwork as gp100. and thank god it aint ported.

You are correct.  I have a GP100 along with my SRH.  They disassemble the same way and look identical inside.  I think they built the GP100 first and then modeled the SRH after it.  And I totally agree about the lack of ports.

The Super Redhawk in my opinion maybe the premier bigbore hand gun out there. I have owned one for several years and love the balance and accuracy I get with it, expecially with hot hunting loads.
