Walking in the woods
« on: July 09, 2009, 04:49:31 PM »
I was thinking about taking a walk in the woods this weekend. I usually try to get in the wood this time of the year and look at what trees needs trimming and trails to clear. Last year I didn't have enough time before hunting season to clear shooting lanes or move stands. This year I want to get a jump on it.

Going to try hunting a new area this year also. Its got 8 year old pine trees on it without much shooting distance. Everything is bunched up and very dense. Thinking about a ground blind of some sort. I may have to think on this a little more while I'm fishing. ;D

Good idea just to walk the woods.   I used to get out more in the summer when we had chucks to hunt here in New England.

Near where I live in CT there are some nice woods roads to walk.   I saw a bear track on one of them!
