22 caliber LR pistol question
« on: September 23, 2009, 01:17:44 PM »
Just purchased a new 22 caliber LR pistol 9 shot.  Is it safe to shoot 22 shorts thru this pistol?

What make and model?  Should be, just may not function the action if it is a semi-auto.

If it's chambered for 22 LR then shorts should be OK in it. I own a model 94 Taurus that is a 9 shot and shorts shoot just fine in it.

They should be fine. Why do you want to use shorts?

Depends on what the gun will be used for.
Target and accuracy: Colt Target .22lr

Overall carry:  I have a buckmark, ruger, and P22, single shot revolver.
They all have the purpose and use.  I like them all, but I LOVE the p22 weight
and ease of carry.
