Beaver oil saq's
« on: July 18, 2009, 12:10:32 PM »
Can anyone give me an idea of what beaver oil saq's and saq oil are going for these days? I have a quart of ground and perserved oil saq's and about half a pint of saq oil I planned on taking to Lima to sell or trade. Thanks, Worm.

Worm,I have no idea what ground oil sacs are going for,I have never had anyone ask about them.
Sac oil retails for about $4.00 to $4.50 an ounce, when bottled and labeled.I have seen it at wholesale levels from a buck to two an ounce.

Tom, I had a few guys ask about them for a change up coyote bait/lure. They were wanting whole, but empty saq's. The reason I ground them was to make sure the preservative got evenly mixed. I will most likely just use the saq oil for beaver this year and do a little experimenting with some different lure or bait recipes using the ground saq's and see what the K-9's tell me. I know my dogs like the heck out of it. Thanks for the info, Worm.
